Are young brides in the setting sun;   
0 s1 h* T  v! i" ]Their reflections on the shimmering waves   
, p; k/ Y6 c8 R6 g7 |0 NAlways linger in the depth of my heart.

Sways leisurely under the water;   : G9 h" f: C& m5 z3 r" h% r
In the gentle waves of Cambridge

That pool under the shade of elm trees   6 _* t% g' \. B, _8 j) s
Holds not water but the rainbow from the sky;   
+ }6 ^. N9 W4 oShattered to pieces among the duckweeds   
% Z0 t& y( J7 i3 n8 bIs the sediment of a rainbow-like dream?   6 o! J+ N- J" w- y$ t8 T5 |, ?5 q& R
To seek a dream? Just to pole a boat upstream   
# h1 Y2 q  @% B+ bTo where the green grass is more verdant;   ! g4 k9 w% v" @- |3 c; }$ q
Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight

But I cannot sing aloud   
9 p$ c% |4 O9 V$ dQuietness is my farewell music;  
$ U. |2 b; R  N5 mEven summer insects heep silence for me   
$ m' s3 ?, Z+ Z. o2 f# cSilent is Cambridge tonight!

在星辉斑斓里放歌

悄悄是别离的笙箫；   + R; _& I% K, M; g2 ?4 A8 ~9 o
夏虫也为我沉默，
