when deeply practicing prajna-paramita,( l5 ~7 ^8 A0 G* T8 ?
clearly saw that the five skandhas are all empty,  X+ Z6 s8 L6 a. _0 O- A
and was saved from all suffering and distress.8 ?3 u$ o- U: |: @- X
观自在菩萨
4 }  [& f) o. h2 b2 R! H6 H行深般若波罗蜜多时  y0 E+ m; ~5 E& ]  M
照见五蕴皆空度一切苦厄: ^7 o8 B  z6 k/ X, H9 v! ~2 y& }8 T
Sariputra,$ y  F: w, c4 [2 \% }
form is no different to emptiness,
& b$ v  c* O; Z; [0 Bemptiness no different to form.) ]' H5 D% h5 m: w7 d6 n# U: t6 i
That which is form is emptiness,
. S  t2 j" |' ]+ j4 k6 fthat which is emptiness, form.) }& z$ ]- p. H3 e# @5 N
舍利子
( O2 |+ s4 S4 n( r色不异空空不异色
# b+ l) k6 |3 E( c% K1 _色即是空空即是色# y: z) u' b$ {9 s9 G; P0 I
Sensations, perceptions, impressions, and consciousness are also like this.4 F7 \" N% g& t6 W. h, D; ]
受想行识亦复如是( J  n( S9 b! O7 H
Sariputra,6 T! ^7 {# |) b1 n
all things and phenomena are marked by emptiness;; l- L/ q0 r5 S* c4 H
they are neither appearing nor disappearing,
+ e: u  u8 |+ _* ]* Nneither impure nor pure,
3 _( N% i0 y; D3 h8 uneither increasing nor decreasing.
6 Y6 D4 u3 J3 \! k5 X- X舍利子" ^- T- J: P4 d/ n$ ^- S) J
是诸法空相不生不灭
0 r: D; ~1 |. u; L' L不垢不净不增不减6 A1 k4 E/ k% ~% O
Therefore, in emptiness,
! h0 _& B  e* W# s; }no forms, no sensations, perceptions, impressions, or consciousness;3 Z: S- g- Q3 ?  M( W
no eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, mind;' h! S3 M& o% u; B: X/ s
是故空中无色无受想行识/ m# {. f  }+ u# k, w& C3 \
无眼耳鼻舌身意* V8 {, M" _" V9 t) O$ u- `( }
no sights, sounds, odors, tastes, objects of touch, objects of mind;: E$ v; M3 V' e0 Z0 r8 |
no realm of sight up to no realm of consciousness;
) s) z6 Y1 P% @. q9 t" z无色声香味触法- F- J) k+ D- `
无眼界乃至无意识界
$ q# M' u: l) E& Z' X' F! hno ignorance and no end of ignorance,- T& c# |* {* |7 B
and no end of aging and death;1 S$ A; L' @3 p3 B
无无明亦无无明尽
5 ?8 p0 i( j3 J; U) v乃至无老死亦无老死尽
6 E% ~# r/ M" B% f! V; }5 gno suffering, accumulation, cessation, or path;+ B3 v0 P5 [* P, t" C
no wisdom and no attainment./ E& H- v/ W2 Z( n- i: T
无苦集灭道无智亦无得
! c5 w8 I) ^% p0 q' |4 f( AWith nothing to attain,1 p8 n9 T8 Y# N4 K6 V& X; N! q1 ~
bodhisattvas) R" X- M+ }) ]& ~" [
rely on prajna-paramita,
1 D6 j& B& |6 o6 O" ?and their minds are without hindrance.! {1 u- s7 J( V' z* [
以无所得故$ d0 E& d, _1 o. i2 J: U
菩提萨陲依般若波罗蜜多故: O, b7 ^- b1 p& L
They are without hindrance,# `, i  W& q$ d/ N# q" Y# b' T
and thus without fear.
2 ?4 K% _/ g1 @5 m" f* q1 ?; a& c& e心无碍无碍故无有恐怖
2 W; X' b& l# O0 f# `8 }Far apart from all confused dreams,
( G& X, N: T* L4 i* B8 v4 p/ c5 Cthey dwell in nirvana.
3 z, Y/ Z8 Z* t+ G; w* H远离颠倒梦想究竟涅盘
: w, P3 s2 S+ F, o% \; k# ~- zAll buddhas of the past, present and future1 m' y5 A: p: f- b) u8 W
rely on prajna-paramita,8 s7 B* q" Z- [$ _1 I
and attain anuttara-samyak-sambodhi.4 X( z! V4 ~% X& I6 Y
三世诸佛依般若波罗蜜多故
; P2 y5 Z4 [, s0 v* v+ j0 k. j# c; H得阿耨多罗三藐三菩提' G9 H* Y+ E7 S& P8 `/ s4 y
Therefore, know that prajna-paramita/ }" G8 O2 U# ^4 ~
is the great transcendent mantra,
+ E$ N# e* `" q+ J1 m7 rthe great bright mantra,
" w* i4 _7 `. s/ P* A4 Tthe supreme mantra,
. _* z; C/ x+ h1 wthe unequalled balanced mantra,
& d+ o# R" r3 f1 z3 tthat can eliminate all suffering,1 C( y) Y4 F- Z  F& |
and is real, not false.; r8 D# K, r! S1 \) p
故知般若波罗蜜多
. v. ^3 v) V* I是大神咒是大明咒是无上咒
0 ?; h! f% \+ s5 P" h是无等等咒能除一切苦真实不虚* [' C% }, {% K* G
So proclaim the prajna-paramita mantra,
" `8 h. K# S7 G( Q2 g0 {proclaim the mantra that says:
# T" {2 q) ~; P% t" W( C6 Y. C! L故说般若波罗蜜多咒
& }8 D& F' u; h4 j4 N, H0 M% O即说咒曰* \! N0 M1 [4 B1 T
gate, gate,) o* _. J+ H2 e: F( B
paragate,; s( ?5 A- w$ z; L" z4 O* O
parasamgate,6 Z! n. }, [& b. S6 P8 v
bodhi, svaha!) A% q& r; D, i; ^' R7 U
揭谛揭谛波罗揭谛0 D) _: G% i- [6 p, p' b
波罗僧揭谛菩提娑婆诃
' U+ r  O% Q+ ^1 s4 W9 aThe Heart Sutra of Prajna.& K. b  q# t# e1 }! p) t9 k( d
般若波罗密多心经
