and was saved from all suffering and distress.

行深般若波罗蜜多时8 i+ F6 a; \: t0 z$ n; I# b- N
照见五蕴皆空度一切苦厄4 H) b( f  w$ E; |6 j+ Z5 o. V
Sariputra,
1 g8 v. o- D7 s. h. d0 i; Xform is no different to emptiness,
, p: ]# N( a) I2 s: hemptiness no different to form.
' Y! r: b- L8 T9 l4 h: h/ VThat which is form is emptiness,
8 i7 \( m1 ~" E* X/ |. _, @' vthat which is emptiness, form.

5 D: Q9 D$ l6 N4 j6 ]6 V; `色不异空空不异色
; u- U1 a6 C! N4 l# C色即是空空即是色
. k0 f7 R/ _4 }) MSensations, perceptions, impressions, and consciousness are also like this.
' [$ X! I% X. F9 }% o5 L受想行识亦复如是) J8 |/ F2 I) m+ [9 A$ B0 l, J4 y
Sariputra,
7 l  |  Z6 N7 U2 B- J, H. g4 aall things and phenomena are marked by emptiness;9 ^: p& e( k% r- ]
they are neither appearing nor disappearing,
$ u/ x0 D( K7 j6 ?* Dneither impure nor pure," g0 G3 Y, t9 \! X1 T! m8 D
neither increasing nor decreasing.6 _+ ]% l' m1 ]- d9 q8 g, |
舍利子
' r: ?: n1 ?4 @% L# x$ M: f是诸法空相不生不灭
( b; c( x" ?1 c* N. O不垢不净不增不减
) b( Q) M; r, F0 D7 W6 bTherefore, in emptiness,: s# q9 |# w( W0 A$ ^
no forms, no sensations, perceptions, impressions, or consciousness;
  b( O; W2 l6 @% J) |no eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, mind;
$ v4 r$ p( Z9 d- v9 ?是故空中无色无受想行识, E! d' y+ W, _/ `6 C2 O# C4 d
无眼耳鼻舌身意
% E( [+ {* ~( `no sights, sounds, odors, tastes, objects of touch, objects of mind;; e0 r4 ^7 I& w. W
no realm of sight up to no realm of consciousness;) W# P: ]& ?$ L/ T
无色声香味触法
! _$ [8 K7 J3 T$ _无眼界乃至无意识界% d2 |2 v6 L; n2 S9 w
no ignorance and no end of ignorance,
% r9 [; u( n) }! l* y/ qand no end of aging and death;
  G" g4 `$ L- q无无明亦无无明尽! [7 X/ l3 x  u/ _$ h* G; Q
乃至无老死亦无老死尽
8 e: `+ |6 h  P. O2 w. jno suffering, accumulation, cessation, or path;
! Z. f; \: v6 V6 }% b. t8 @8 Q. vno wisdom and no attainment." E6 \, `* o1 {1 M  Y. \
无苦集灭道无智亦无得
1 B9 m5 h4 Z9 u* D6 b/ d5 _With nothing to attain,& M8 _/ b( Q3 n: U$ H
bodhisattvas
7 _, i/ J6 V1 }rely on prajna-paramita,
8 g8 E' G( |- u" N1 x% H" g7 Cand their minds are without hindrance.) J! s5 A9 D* o! U
以无所得故
! m6 X6 ?% u! c2 v0 `菩提萨陲依般若波罗蜜多故) }5 r: w  G3 H9 u5 {# Y: p6 k- ~
They are without hindrance,
: _& P# m$ P* N6 t9 x2 mand thus without fear.
2 I: d+ |) G+ R% t  `心无碍无碍故无有恐怖
* I8 v8 c0 ?0 _$ B* kFar apart from all confused dreams,. a, F3 J5 \: N* B' N& }% e- v
they dwell in nirvana.) @. o9 k, |( i6 G
远离颠倒梦想究竟涅盘
  w% y% k) l% L4 g  `3 V  @6 v% SAll buddhas of the past, present and future1 h8 l, D2 s/ s+ g* Z0 \
rely on prajna-paramita,+ a! R; Y1 k& \
and attain anuttara-samyak-sambodhi.
$ q% [% q* R( T三世诸佛依般若波罗蜜多故* {+ ?: [$ x& X) k$ ?5 R
得阿耨多罗三藐三菩提
3 z& n" x3 C7 M% }+ g% X; G+ P9 aTherefore, know that prajna-paramita
0 U$ j3 X$ H$ C3 }0 B* n$ kis the great transcendent mantra,9 }9 x6 r" Z. ]8 s& \! ?+ M
the great bright mantra,: T" z: X# e2 J, c6 V
the supreme mantra,1 S: r* g8 ]" m6 v2 S  C
the unequalled balanced mantra,2 i6 p+ H: @$ O" y6 J
that can eliminate all suffering,
' T6 V+ @1 H2 T, s- D3 kand is real, not false.4 `9 f5 c* `) X5 C: J- Q0 ^
故知般若波罗蜜多
1 Z3 a0 w  b  v' h6 A; L8 i是大神咒是大明咒是无上咒
' r% L. W& o# Z, j是无等等咒能除一切苦真实不虚
5 o; Z! c. l3 u: u. t+ ]So proclaim the prajna-paramita mantra,
4 I  {7 Y( w7 s& \7 ?) o9 c6 u# Aproclaim the mantra that says:
% P$ W- v- y- }7 w故说般若波罗蜜多咒
% O) \* [( v7 M9 O) s即说咒曰
0 w3 C* H+ F& e/ Hgate, gate,# m$ v2 ~) [; o, B1 c
paragate,
: R0 j- I& X( I! b6 Aparasamgate,
, o/ c& b0 K; u& L; l) E+ @% Fbodhi, svaha!) {, ]- ?/ w- m5 i5 K; l! O8 l
揭谛揭谛波罗揭谛3 L: g5 F4 I4 S" q$ O3 h! P
